Hell we're already addicted. I guess by putting limits on it, they know you'll keep answering to get to a higher level and a higher limit of questions. Mind control is what it is.

I'm not sure but I think when you reach the next level you can answer more questions. The limit is there because for some reason people want these worthless points and will "game" the system by giving one word answers, or non-answers, to questions just for points. I guess Y!A figures if you play this game long enough you will have discovered some value in answering questions other than getting points. Those that "game" the system will soon get bored with it because they have nothing to add and are not interested in learning anything.

That all depends on if you think getting addicted to informing others is a bad thing? The ability to straighten out the naive and uninformed semi-anonomously is a gift from the gods if you ask me. And then you get points for it to boot--gee whiz! Maybe that will make you strive to get points by giving relevant mainstream answers. It's all about making a difference, bettermeant, debate, and giving opposing points of view. What if your answer was the spark that ignited the flame to make things right? Get to level 2 and you wont have to worry about a limit.

It is just to prevent people from making accounts and just giving nonsense answers for points. This way you have to at least put some thought and time into gaining points. It limits spam and garbage on the boards.

I suspect that they are more concerned with abusers simply putting up a ton of garbage answers to get points. Presumably someone who sticks around long enough to get a high level is more interested and has something to lose if they engage in such antisocial behaviour.

No...I guess they want you to visit the website regularly,
but have time for other things in your life as well. You can
answer more when you reach higher levels, it just takes
time to get there. I guess you will have to take it up with
the software engineers.

After you reach higher point levels, you can answer more questions. Every time you ask a question, you lose points, though. It is better to answer than to ask!

Each level allows you to answer a certain amount of questions. as you progress through the levels the number of questions you are allowed to answer increases.
