Why do you blame the Assyrian civilization for the Middle East conflicts? The Assyrians today do NOT even have even have their own country, they are being killed and forced to leave their homelands--ancient Mesopotamia (Iraq, Iran, Turkey)--due to the fact that they are Christians living in the Middle East. Assyria does not even exist, stop blaming the Middle East's problems on Assyria, its politically immoral. The Assyrian Empire fell to the Persian Empire, completely changing the coarse of Assyrian history. So you stating that the Assyrian civilization is the reason for the Middle East conflict is completely idiotic. The Assyrians are a peaceful group of people, which is why they are being persecuted. 750,000 INNOCENT Assyrians were killed in the Ottoman Empire under the rule of the Young Turks, these Assyrians weren't militarily capable to defend themselves as were the Armenians, but were killed due to their religious differences--Genocide. You are COMPLETELY wrong, the Mesopotamians (Assyrians, Sumerians, Babylonians) invented numerous innovations which you probably take for granted, such as the wheel, lens, glass, sundial, number 0, lock & key, first written language, irrigation system, and many more. You are definetly wrong, God help you.

the whole 1948 thing is with Israel and America's recognition of it being a country and all. But you are right, conflict has always been in the middle east. i don't like the way history writes it though. They act like there was no fighting while Jesus was alive there, but it basically started with the Egyptians expanding their empire and continued constantly until today. It is a civilization where democracy will not work. If you look at the past, only iron fist dictators have been able to hold the countries together, and Iraq right now is a good example of failing democracy. I know what the media says, but trust me, I was wounded there. It isn't going to work.

The Assyrians conquored the Davidic kingdoms in around 600BC, and enslaved the northern 10 tribes, thus causing the lost tribes of Israel (who were later taken to Babylon).

The biblical history stems back to the sons of Abraham Issac and Ishmael. Ishmael was the older son, whoes mother was a slave. Abraham was promised a son by God who would carry his seed and name, so when Issac was born Ishmael was cast out. He was given a nation of his own, whom are the modern arabs, while Issac's nation are the modern Jews. In the bible there is a prophacy that neither nation will be at peace with the other.
