Kinda hard to say what's wrong, given the limitations of your post.

Have you added sounds thru animation? Do you have sound files embedded? Where are you at with it?

Feel free to email me, if I can help.

If you have sucessfully loaded the sound file an sound icon should show on the slide. Also how is the sound activated when the slide pops up or by your clicking.

Insert music or sound on a slide
Display the slide you want to add music or sound to.
On the Insert menu, point to Movies and Sounds.
Do one of the following:
To insert a sound from the Clip Gallery, click Sound from Gallery, and then locate and insert the sound you want.
To insert a sound from another location, click Sound from File, locate the folder that contains the sound, and then double-click the sound you want.
A sound icon appears on the slide.
A message is displayed. If you want the sound to play automatically when you go to the slide, click Yes; if you want the sound to play only when you click the sound icon during a slide show, click No.
To preview the sound in normal view, double-click the sound icon.

What sound source are you using?. You have to make sure that the sound file that you are using is compattable with your player. Make sure its a mpeg or wav etc. Then if your source is a specific cd make sure when you do the presentation that the cd is in the computer/ device for the presentation.

Set options for a sound or video to play during a slide show
Select the video or sound icon you want to set options for.
On the Slide Show menu, click Custom Animation, and then click the Multimedia Settings tab.
Select the options you want, or click More Options.
For Help on an option, click the question mark and then click the option.

Save a presentation to always open as a slide show
Open the presentation you want to save as a slide show.
On the File menu, click Save As.
Show Me
In the Save as type list, click PowerPoint Show.
Note The extension for a file saved as a slide show is .pps. When you open this type of file from your desktop, it will automatically start as a slide show. PowerPoint closes when the show ends, and you return to the desktop. If you start the show from within PowerPoint, the presentation opens and can be edited.

What did you do to load file what version of PP and if more problems shout.
