I have, so I did a little experiment this week. I did nothing on this PC but visit Yahoo Answers. Every 2 days, I ran my Spyware Doctor software and up to 11 threats and infections were found. All of them appear to be hijacked web sites, web site corruption ware or embedded toolbars that can't be seen in your taskbar. This morning I actually got a message that my virtual memory was at a minimum and some programs may not work properly.
Has anyone else been experiencing a slower PC since visiting Yahoo Answers?

In case I didn't make myself clear, I ran my spyware and Norton and Ad aware and EWIDO prior to my experiment. It isn't my PC, it's YA. After using the PC to surf everywhere else for 2 days, nothing comes up in the spyware and the PC is at optimal speed.
The only time I have issues with the PC is after heavy use at YA.

I'd have to ask what browser you're using, what virus protection and spyware protection programs you have up, and what is running in the background (on Task Manager)?

I hadn't noticed what you're speaking of, but I'm going to try a few things out and see. It wouldn't surprise me completely; truth be told.

Nope. You likely had other issues prior to solely visiting YA. Spyware Doctor is a great program, but you need 3-4 firewalls, virus scans and spyware programs to get everything. And that still won't do it.

That usually happens cz of much internet surfing, viruses, spam and other kindza bugs. It's all over the internet and there's no way to protect your pc from it but guard it with lotsa good anti-viruses and internet security programs.
I know or Kaspersky internet security, Norton anti virus and AVG which is for free, get it from download.com...
And don't wait too long before checking on your whole system cz other symptoms could follow which could lead your pc to total system failure.
Also try checking the 'System Restore' tab in the 'System' icon in the control pannel and activate it on all drives..something could've gone wrong within your computer.
You also need to check for unwanted programs and clean them off your pc, the more programs you have, the heavier your pc could get.
If none of the above works for you, contact a specialist.
Good luck =)
