I'd have to say homecomming 9th grade.
I had recently got my hair cut. Looked real cute....Spiked in the back, and long in the front. The front came down to my chin.
My mom said she had a cute idea for my hair...so I said sure.
She put tons of gel in it and wrapped it all up into over 300 bobby pins....blow dried it...then took them out.
My hair was SO curly that it looked like I had an afro (literally) and the curls were so tight that the longest part (to my chin) only looked like it was about an inch long.
Then she wouldnt let me wear what I wanted....so I ended up wearing a HIDEOUS long...flat...shapeless ....purple velvet dress.
When I got to the school, everyone laughed at me.........
I mean...it's like one of those things off of tv...where the whole school gathers around in a huge circle with the victim in the middle...laughing hysterically....
Thank god my friend had gone to my house to pick me up....snatched the dress I liked....
I changed in the bathroom and drenched my hair in the sink....spiked the back and straightened the front.
But unfortunately, most of the school had already taken pictures of me....
When I got home, my mom was disapointed that I had "Ruined the nice makeover she gave me"
I love my mom, but Im never letting her give me a "makeover" again!

Even my exboyfriend told me first time he saw me: "Hey boy, is that sit taken..." I was really embaraced....And 2 yrs ago I dyed my hair in every single colour on the planet. I was like sime sick parrot! Now my hair is purple... ANd pretty. And ppl are still telling me I'll be bald in a few months...And thay started telling me that 2 yrs ago but I still have my hair...(on the pillow and hair combs much more than on head but better anything than nothing)

Do you remember the 80's. That was pretty much it. The really bad news is that mullets were not the worst do one could do. I for one did some time with that whole "New Wave" look. You remember? with the hair... and those AWFUL clothes.

The mullet I had back in the '80s.
Just when I think I burned all the photos, new ones pop up now and again just to re-embarrass me.

I got a very short bob done on my thick, dry and coarse hair when I was abour 13. With just one wash, the whole thing got wavy and frizzy and arrrrrrgh....I looked as horrible as I can be.
The hair literally stood in a triangle on my circular face.

When I had a perm in high school my hair went absolutely crazy! The curls were far to tight and it looked pretty ridiculous. Even worse when it started to grow out my hair was half straight and half curls!

From the male perspective, it was those 80s breakdance "parachute" pants. Ugh!
I'll say a couple of my Chams ("The Chams Man, makes a fantasy real") Shirts are second.

Hi...well it would have to be wearing the over-sized one piece cotton dresses from the late 80's along with the flat shoes....when I was in my 20's and hiding my slim figure.
Now its high heals and clothes that flatter baby! have fun!!

I once tried to dye my hair from jet black to platinum blonde it didn't work so well it went starting from the top blonde, orange, some kind of ugly pink, and red and it stayed like that for a week until I could afford to go to the salon. it was awful i had to go to work like that and all.
