Other than sex, no! There really isn't anything else that you can do to hurry it up. Castor oil is really dangerous and can cause the baby to have a bowel movement in the womb which is very dangerous because of the possibility of swallowing it. Other than the natural ways to make you go into labor there really isn't any other safe way. I mean you do have to have sex, just figure out a way to get the sperm inside of you! It's the sperm not the sex!

Other than sex and walking I don't believe anything short of having your membranes stripped by the doctor can start your labor. Don't try castor oil, you'll just get diarrhea and be miserable. Sex works because sperm contains a chemical that softens the cervix, but a lot of people forget the role a female's orgasm plays, an orgasm releases oxytocin, which triggers contractions. If your husband or partner isn't around you might try masturbation to see if that helps get the ball rolling. Hang in there, it will be over soon.

I would sugest you relax a bit. You might be a little too tense and baby can sense that. Everything is now up to the baby he/she will decide when it is time to arrive. Sit back and watch a movie or some Tv and enjoy the last bit of time by yourself you will have for awhile and you will need you strenghth for labor. Also you can try talking to the baby and telling them that everything is ready and you are now waiting for them to join you. It works wonders I know of many late babies whos labour started after a few pep talks from mum and dad.

laying new carpet, another words heavy laboring, thats
when i would go into labor, usually in the middle of the

It's an old wives tale that if you drink a few oz of pure molasses then walk for a half hour, a brisk walk, then drink a very tall glass of ice cold water it can help you. Then there is the chastor oil. But none of the seem to really work. I know I tried the molasses with my first. There's a ton of them out there but the don't really work. The only other thing you can do besides wait for the baby to come on their own is to talk to your doctor about enducing. Good luck!!!

Relax and it will happen. The baby is not going to harbor like a fugitive inside you until it's 25. It will happen and soon, seems like forever, I know, been there done that, but relax and here's a good tip: DO NOT, no matter what anyone tells you, TAKE CASTOR OIL.....it's the shits! Literally and it does nothing for labour if your baby just isn't ready to come out. Your body knows the date of conception, right down to the minute, you, your dr, noone knows, your body will tell you when the baby is ready.

Besides sex and walking (which are the big ones to help speed up your baby's arrival) you could try lavender... my mid-wife said to stay away from things with lavender in them like bath gel, lotions, etc as they cause contractions. I know you are really impatient, but try to rest up as much as you can now as the really hard part is going to come soon now. It's not just the labour that's hard, it's the sleepless nights that follow that are worse.
Good luck, be strong, and when you are about to give up because of the pain just think of your little baby once he/she is in your arms!

Yes there is. I know this might sound crazy but it worked for me. Clean your floor without a mop. You have to get down on your hands and knees and get a wash cloth. You don't even have to do a good job, just as long as you do it. I went into labor a few hours later. Good luck

I wouldn't worry about it, keep walking and keep your fluids up. The baby will come when it is ready. Don't forget to allow your self some rest too, it is a lot of work getting that baby out, and you will need all the energy you can gather.
Good luck and God Bless you and your baby.
