Dodgers winning the World Series behind ace starter Fernando Valenzuela in 1981. Been a long time. Fernando mania!

I love those moments as well. so i will add a new one.
Opening Day last year. Dodgers vs. Giants in San Francisco. Milton Bradley hits a game winning single. Vin Scully's call got me all riled up. " Line Drive, Base Hit! AND THE BALL GETS BY ELLISON! Innnnnnn comes Izturis, Innnnnnnn comes Drew, Innnnnn comes Kent, and the Dodgers win it 9-8!"
Also, i loved it when the Mets choked and lost to the Dodgers in the NLDS after having a 2-0 lead in the series. Did you see that too?

Maybe I'm an old timer but it is Game Six of the 1975 World Series. Probably the best game I've ever seen. Cincinnati jumped out to 6-3 lead. In the bottom of the ninth Bernie Carbo of the Red Sox comes up to pinch hit with 2 men on and 2 out. He works the count to 2-2 by fouling off some nasty pitches. He finally gets a pitch he can handle and drives it over the center field fence at Fenway to tie the score. They battled until the 12th inning, when Fisk ended the game with his famous homerun down the leftfield line which ended up hitting the foul pole. I was just 8 or 9yrs old when I saw this game so I can't remember all the details, but all of us have seen the film of Fisk jumping up and down waving his arms trying to keep that ball fair. I just remember it being a back and forth well played game. Needless to say Fenway was going nuts, I remember Fisk having to fight his way thru the fans to make it around the bases and get to homeplate.(I remember begging Mom and Dad to let me stay up to watch the game, thankfully they did!!)

Kirk Gibson hitting the two run home run off of Dennis Eckersley in the 1988 World Series with two bad legs. Also, Kurt Suzuki getting the game winning hit in the 2004 College World Series for Cal State Fullerton against Texas.

Mine is the Homerun by Kirk Gibson in game one of the 1988 World Series, and the last out in Sandy Koufax's 1965 Perfect Game.

Luis Gonzalez hitting a bloop single off Mariano Rivera to win the 2001 World Series. Either that, or the Red Sox coming back from three games down to beat the Yankees in the 2004 ALCS. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the Yankees lose :)

My fondest memory of baseball is when my brother took me to a Mets game at Shea stadium. It was on April 17th, the night when Pedro got his 200th win. It was cold and I felt like food in an airtight package when we were getting out of the stadium to get to the subway station. But it was a beautiful evening. The stadium was electric. They did a little tribute to Pedro at the end of the game. Just thinking about it still makes me smile now =)

Ground ball to Foulke. He underhands it to Mentkeiwicz. The Red Sox are World Champions. Can you believe it? (my memory of Joe Castiglione's radio call of the final play of Game 4 of 2004 Series.)
Obviously one man's great memory is another's bitter memory. The Buckner error lived in infamy for 18 years in Boston.

I agree with the first guy. That Kirk Gibson HR was awesome. Being a Mets fan, the Bill Buckner ball through the five-hole was special for me....
