Just sit her down and tell her straight out and see what happens. If she's your true friend, she will accept you and either try to understand or seek advice for you.

She probably already nows, deep down. The guy magnet thing is probably like a denial thing. I had a friend that was gay and I knew just didn't want to know, one day she just came right out and said I have girlfriend. If she is your friend then it will not matter.

What is your motive? if you have been friends for 4 years and the subject never came up, then what did you talk about, every girl I have ever known has to talk about their wishes dreams and wants. If you were able to hide your sexuality from her, then you have been living a lie for 4 years. this indicates you have feelings for her and want them reciprocated. If you are truly lesbian, you know that you can't turn some one else, So you need to look at your motive and deal with lying to your friend for so long

Yes i think you should tell her the truth. Remember to always be honest. if she really is your best friend then she should have no problem dealing with it. she should listen to what you have to say and understand why you was hiding it from her.

You should just tell her, go to lunch or something and let her know you need to talk to her about something. If you like her then its best you end the friendship before she finds out.

if she's your best friend, she won't care. My bestfriend of 15 years told me she was bisexual. I don't care. Why? because as long as you aren't trying to hook up with her, she won't care. And b/c your bestfriends I doubt that you would.
