She is immature, they had finished their relationship so you are free to date him. Probably she is sorry she finished with him and feels a little jealous. Other answerers here have also demonstrated their own lack of maturity.

I'm sorry but, Girl, you aren't her friend! She hates you because you broke the friendship code!! Girl how can you stab your friend in the back. Do the right thing and break up with her ex, I mean friends are the most important things you can have in your life. Friends are for ever. Guys come and go. I mean you do have her left overs. But that's not the point you did your friend wrong so fix it, and save your friendship and apologize and never do that again. Friends are suppose to be there for each other in every way not make it harder for each other.

Some lines are not meant to be crossed and dating a friend's ex is one of them. I would hate you too. Break up with him and she may come around if you apologize to her about what happened. The trust is gone so I dont know if you two will be like you were before.

You might not like this answer, but I would of never of done that.
I believe when you are a true friend, you never cross that boundry. You should of talked to your friend first to see how she felt. If you don't care about your friend then you did the right thing, if you do and you wanted to keep your friendship then you should of thought about what you were doing before you started dating your friend's EX. Talk next time. Put yourself in your friends shoes.

You made the decision between dating the ex and staying friends with your friend. Did you talk to your friend before you started dating their ex? If not, then there is nothing you can do.

Perhaps with time they will forgive you.

WWWWWWWWHHHHHHOOOOOAAAAAAA!!!!! Y ON EARTH WUD U DO A THING LIKE THAT???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's like the #1 rule in the friendship handbook....ALL ex's are off limits...no if's, and's or but's! A true friend is hard to come by and it's no use messing that up for some guy. Yeah he may be cute, nice, etc, but is it really worth it? Now who are u gonna talk to about ur relationship with this dude?....not her, cuz i'm sure she doesn't wanna hear it! My advice is to let him go, ur relationship won't last especially if u're gonna feel guilty about it. And if ur friend won't talk 2 u just guve her time.

Not date your friends' ex.

Don't you know that this is an unwritten rule?

The thing is, boyfriends come and go--a good friend is much harder to find. If you think for one second that this guy will be around longer then your friend, you are horribly mistaken. So what happens when you guys break up... you have lost a friend for what purpose?

There's a million guys out there, get one that you friend hasn't been with before.

By the way... honestly.... wouldn't it piss you off if you broke up with someone, and your friend or sister got with them??

Hope this helps :)

I've been through this. My friend and I have done this. Don't worry about it. She will get over it. My best friend (and still is) married my x boyfriend. I told her she can have him. Now that she has been married to him for years now. She knows why I told her to take him off my shoulders. If your so called friend is anything a friend should be then she should over see this. It may be awkward at first and she might not talk with you but she will get over it. A friend sticks around no matter what. Good luck!
P.S. Don't listen to this negativity!

You just lost a friend. I been there and done that.
Even if you break up with this person, you lost her
for good.
I hadn't seen my friend in years and I crossed that line.

You don't cross the line when it comes to female
friendship. It is either your best friend or the man.

We shouldn't cross that certain line and we shouldn't have to
choose the man. There are plenty of them. There are only
so many female friends and when you lose that trust,it won't
ever be the same.

You already lost her. Was he worth it????????????

If it was her ex you should have asked her permission before dating him. If you really value you friendship with her, offer to break things off with the guy. If she sees that you do care about her feelings she will probably say forget about it and all is forgiven. But be prepared that she may say dump him or me.

I've got your fix all solution. Dis her ex boyfriend so she'll feel better. Break up with him and start sleeping with me (I'm fantastic, if you know what I mean *wink wink*). Then let your friend steal me from you (I can make it so she wouldn't suspect anything from you). Plus she won't be able to resist me (again I'm Fantastic). She'll forget how mad she was at you because I'll be laying the lumber heavy. I'll get HER to breakup with ME. She'll feel empowered and the both of you will be able to forgive one another for past discretions and plus all the unbelievably great sex you both will enjoy.
