Why are all humans classified as homosapiens?

Well, "homo" is Latin for "man"- "homo sapiens" simply means "wise or learned man".

I don't think either science or religion can clearly say without doubt if people's sexual orientations are determined at birth, by their experiences, or some combination.

Science would like to think that people are "born" gay, and religion (at least many of them) would have you believe that it is all a "choice" and a "conscious sin".

Are either right? Who knows?

Bisexual, according to Kinsey.

Which makes sense to me. It's a sliding scale. Most people tend to identify with one end of the spectrum or the other; but if they're really being honest, most people will also confess to having had feelings of attraction to the same sex (if "straight") or the opposite sex (if "gay") at some point in their lives.

Incidentally this argument:
"Humans are also born sinners, which is a reason some humans choose to act on homosexual temptations."
always makes me laugh. Apparently the idea is that homosexuality is such a "tempting" concept that some "evil" people will choose to go do it even though it says not to in the bible, right under the section that orders you to sacrifice oxen to Jehovah. Maybe all "religious" people are gay!

I don't think all humans are born gay because its your environment/surroundings, and even certain situations in peoples lives that makes people gay...that's what I believe...me and my friends (gay and straight) had a somewhat heated discussion about this last week...even though there were different views, most believed people are NOT born gay...

Homo is the genus that includes modern humans and their close relatives. The genus is estimated to be between 1.5 and 2.5 million years old. All species except Homo sapiens are extinct; the last surviving relative, Homo neanderthalensis, died out 30,000 years ago, although recent evidence suggests that Homo floresiensis lived as recently as 12,000 years ago.

C'mon, read a book....

No actually gay is a name...Now some are born with more feminine characteristics and some with more masculine characteristics but not born gay...Being gay is a choose. Chooses=given the power to choose, wrong are right chooses. But the makes of your bodies let us know who and what GOD intended us to be...For He=GOD made us male and female..Adam and Eve...John and Jill went up the hill and oops. Now somethings in life may cause one to fill because the body has been abused they are now gay but not so..It was a bad thing that happened..but we are not that bad thing. We are who GOD created us to be man and wife=married. Male and female=single or not single...

Homo sapiens:
the species to which ALL modern human beings belong. Homo sapiens is one of several species grouped into the genus Homo, but it is the only one that is not extinct.

I don't think so. Homosapiens doesn't mean gay, homosexual does.
