Re nosdda's entry there is no such thing as a scottish pine.It could be a scots pine ,pinus sylvestris,pine needles are usually twisted and at 2-3 inches are shorter than most pines and are in pairs. Most pines have varying numbers of pine needles in groups,also of different lengths (the scots pine did come from Scotland though)Count the number of needles in groups,the length of them and colour of bark and any thing else like size of cones that could help then come back to me.
