If it is an HP or a Compaq you can. Press F10 once your turn it on. Keep pressing it until it goes to the HP recovery wizard. Then follow the instructions on the screen. You want to recover your computer. The entire process will take about 30 minutes. Once its complete, your computer will be back to the original form that you got it in.

First off that will not allow make your computer go back to its original state. If you have an XP sometimes you can do a System Restore or when you got your computer it may have came with a set of disk that will allow you to do a format or restore. It verys on diffrent machines. hit F1 when the computer is loaded and search system restore.

if u press F10 u might start reformatting which will wipe everything off ur pc u need to go to start, accessories, system, system restore and if u have made a restore point u can go back to that date...

Nope. The only way to use Manufacturer's disks to completely revert and reinstall.... or wipe the hard drive clean and install Windows yourself. Either way, you lose all you data, proceed with caution.

if you want to set your computer to its origional state pesumung its xp then just use your system restore disk/fuction and that will do the trick. be aware that you will loose your data so save any work first.
