i really hate the new afi stuff i was (and still) a big fan untill they came out with thier new cd i really like the cd sing sorrow the song miss muder is not them

i have been a AFI fan for years..
they change with each album which can be upsetting if you like a certain one the best..
i love anything AFI does but Miss Murder bugs me a lot..
you take a great band, who has done great things to this music world and they come out with this..i just hope this pop-punk thing goes away with their next album..
they definately have the ability to go back to their punk days..and hopefully they relieze it..
I recently went to a concert and they still play some of their old stuff which reminds me that they still are the same guys..
the same AFI that I love...

I used to think like you....I like all their music...they are expected to grow as a band. some people think they took a step backwards and some people think they took a step in the right direction. I think what is really getting to the real fans (old and new) is that the teeny boppers and poseurs and scensters are turning then into teen idols that they aren't trying to be...and that they like the band not for the music but for looks and because "punk" and "emo" are in. AFI has been industrialized....I've learned to accept it. I still love them alot though.....always will.

I really like their new stuff. As well as the old stuff. Its expected to have a change. They cant keep writing the same material....that would get boring.
I know what you are saying though. Im a huge brand new fan, and its seem they are continually changing for the worse. I still love and support them though.

Afi is turning emo in my opinion..look at the lead singers hair! the drums are turning emo as well.. emo is the new trend for alternative punk-rock bands like them.

i toataly agree with HIMpunk i love AFI to death!!and i'm only 11 they really changed my life!so i really love their new and old stuff!
