Or should I wait until he's old enough to decide for himself?

I know it's illegal to tattoo a child under 18 in the UK, but that's no problem because international flights are so cheap these days.

When in doubt .... Do Nothing! maybe the child doesn't WANT the tattoo under his armpit... definetly let the kid decide for themselves what they choose to put on thier body! the child may just grow up thinking what a great idea but he may think NO WAY .. would you have wanted these decisions made for you without being asked??

I will be visiting the UK this summer. If you like I could bring my tattoo gun with me. You seem like a nice chap, I could cut you a good deal. No need to travel out of the country.

The preferred place is back of the neck for numbers.Since I wont be out for a few months that will give you and the Mrs. Time to decide the location for the tat ( sorry but I know who wearss the pants in your family! )

You threw away 5 points on a bogus question? Under 15's can't buy, handle or use guns (14 for air rifles), so there is no way a baby can join a gun club.
Thanks for the 2 points, but the question was in bad taste.

No - you need to pick a part of his/ her body that will not grow.

The only one I know of is the eyeballs.

This poses the question as to whether to do it mirrored or not.

Mirrored if you want him or her to have it handy or normal if it is for the benefit of others.

Either way you sound like a sensible chap so I'm sure you will make the right decision.

Is there a significant reason why it has to be under the armpit? Suppose, ur saving your child the pain of having a tat done when he/she is older. (Like getting circumcised). So in a way, really, ur being a responsible parent. Good for you.

No.

He can only see it by looking in a mirror, and will end up quoting the number back to front!
Get the tattoo done on his forearm instead.

Cant it go somewhere else?

He is going to have a hard time trying to read it when he needs it and i dont think shoving his armpit in someones face to show his membership is going to go down too well.

Especially after a hard days work and without shaving......lol

Try henna first. As the child grows it could distort the number and make it hard to read later in life.
With henna you can re-apply the tatoo as the child grows so you can still see it.

LOL!!
Consider that while a baby grows their skin stretches and moves, so that tattoos will distort.
Yes, I know this is a joke, I'm just saying.

Hi. You should have it tattooed under YOUR armpit so you won't lose it or forget. Some answers are so obvious!
