I am a student at AMU. (American Military University) I am almost done with my BA and I use say that I am extremely pleased with the school. My husband and I know people who have graduated from the school. They take transfer credits, which makes life a lot easier. I must also tell you that this is no diploma mill. This university requires you to work. I went to a university before we moved. I was in the classroom and taking a full load. Compared to AMU, the college that I attended is a piece of cake. I have to put in a lot of work to complete my assignments. That doesn't mean that it can't be done. I does mean that you are really earning your degree. It will not be a walk in the park as some people think. The other benefit is that although you will have to work hard, if there are any circumstances that come up, you can easily contact your professors and they can work with you or you can request an extension grade as you would in any other college. I like this school so much. When I finish with my BA, I am going straight into my masters program. I hope this helped.

The University of Phoenix does not have an athletic department or any official sports teams at all (or even a mascot).
The University of Phoenix is geared toward working adults who already have full time jobs and are either advancing their degrees or trying to move into a different field. Classes are typically held in the evening with a focus on bachelors and masters degrees in business, accounting, computers and education.
They do have both online and classroom-based classes held at a number of buildings and small campuses around the Phoenix area, but they don't have a traditional community campus with dorms, stadiums, etc aimed at people going directly to college from high school.
