Yes, you can succeed in life without having much to show for it in terms of material wealth (prosperity). Writers and Musicians may be seen as successful, despite being poor in their lifetimes.

Of course. You can be successful in lots of areas without making any money at it. Lots of very well-regarded artists are considered successful but still starve, for example :)
You can be a successful father or mother, but those things won't bring you prosperity.
In general, if you're talking about *work* or what you do for a living, being successful very often leads to prosperity -- because when you're very good at something, there are usually people willing to pay you more to do it well for *them.* But not always. Personally, I'm a lot more concerned with being successful than prosperous -- if I'm the former, the latter usually takes care of itself :)

The word prosperity implies materialistic or financial status, whereas the word success can mean a million things to a million people

ye you can succeed in things and still be poor as all jobs don't pay the same, prosperity is having both success and finaces to cover all you need and want abundance brings wealth.

I am an artist/journalist/filmmaker, and I have achieved some success in my work, such as being published a lot, and seeing my name on the screen credits of movies on HBO. But I don't have a lot of money. Still working, every day.
