The fact scenerio listed states:
"...officer found fifty hits of heroin packaged for distribution."

I'm trying to figure out what the actual charges would be according to statutes, which are determined by weight...

As per previous nasty responses:

I’m just trying to write a "fictitious" memorandum brief to a "fictitious" federal court applying current state statutes to a set of "fictitious" circumstances listed. Actually, it is all tied up into a "fictitious" Motion to Suppress, combined with 4th and 5th amendment violations... but all I am asking is approximately how much 50 hits of heroin packaged for distribution would weigh. Then I can state if the "fictitious" defendant will be charged with a class 1D, 1C or 1B felony.

50 hits wouldn't weigh that much. A person can fit like 200 balloons of heroin in their mouth. A balloon of heroin is about the size of a pencil eraser or a bit smaller.
Well, at least around here it is.
