Never, if they say they are gay, they are just lying to win your vote. Remember, the next two years of more bullshit in the white house rests on the senate majority. Democrats must win inorder to vote against Bush's new bills. So if you see a republican say ther are gay and are for gay rights between now and the election, it is a lie to win the votes of thousands of gay people.

"same beliefs as Reagan" except for on homosexuality, i assume. i'm a Libertarian conservative. i'm fiscally conservative and socially lifelike to liberal. i could not care a lot less about a applicants sexual orientation. I care better than some thing about the applicants economic regulations. So, certain!!! i'd help him. My boyfriend no longer is going by skill of the label "Republican." He describes himself as a conservative. he's conservative on maximum all subject matters yet is only captivated with the commercial subject matters. If the "Reagan reincarnated as a gay guy" became up hostile to a unique economic conservative, he would like the instantly on. yet when the different candidate became a common large spender, then he would help the gay candidate in a heartbeat!

Depends on the rest of his policies and his opponent. Since one assumes that the Dem opponent also supports the full panoply of leftist policies, that would mean they agree on one issue. So that leaves the rest of his platform.
And the knowledge that not voting for him and voting 3rd party would hand the election to the Democrat, if he was otherwise conservative, then I'd vote for him.

Assuming I agreed with him on his political viewpoints, I would vote for him if he was openly gay, but would not vote for him if he supported gay marriage.

I stopped voting based on the party they represent, now I just learn what they stand for, their track record and family values.
Homosexual or not does not guarantee a good human being.

I wouldn't discriminate against a candidate based on his sexual orientation. If gay marriasge was an issue, I would see how he stood on it. If he was for a ban on benefits for ALL marriages, I would support him.

No. I would guess he would only be pro gay marriage because he himself is gay, and would still have the selfish "I got mine" and "my way or the highway" mindset of the rest of the conservatives.

Yes, we are not here to judge what he does just what he would be doing for us a people regardless of his sexual preference because we all know that when he shuts his eyes for good, he will be held accountable to a higher authority.

Depends on the rest of his stances and his opponents stances. You can't just make a choice based on a single, and in the case not very significant, issue.
