No, but they can definitely feel the vibrations. Lateral lines are very sensitive.

sure, water is a good conductor of sound. if something hits the side of the tank the fish hears what sounds like an explosion. the fish ears are made to enhance sounds under water so most can hear very well

Not likely considering sound travels poorly through glass and water...your fish will more then likely pick up vibrations.

they are kinda of like plants, they like it you paying attention to them and talk to them but they have no idea of what you are saying. if your fish start to talk back then we got a bit of a problem!! :)
