There is this so-called cop that has spread my name in the dirt. I am a electrical contractor and and I have real estate property on the side and I am a law biding citizen. This all started about 7 yrs ago, but he has gone too far. He is using falsifying statements to I know of about 10 people that I have murdered or had people murdered before. I am sick of this punk's sh.it. He's told people to watch out for me, because I was dangerous. Who should I go to to have this SOB stopped? I live in a small town, so I really can't go to anyone local. Please help me put this punk out of a job.

Assuming everything you have said is true, you have a case for slander. Just understand that no judge will care about what you know; he/she will only care about what you can prove. You would have to get these ten people that he has talked to into court to testify on your behalf and say "Yes, Officer so-and-so told me this guy is a murderer." The only defense that he would be able to muster would be that you actually DID kill someone and he has or has seen the evidence to prove it. If you can get any of those folks to back you up, see a lawyer in your nearest big town (preferably one who advertises in the Yellow Pages and gives free initial consultations -- that way you'll know if you have a case).

First of all, you need to get everyone that he has said that stuff to to write a sworn statement detailing he what he said. It would help if it was signed by a notary public. Then, take all of these sworn written statements to an attorney and sue the hell out of this guy. But would it be considered slander? Well, that's hard to say. You'd have to prove that it has negatively impacted your life before it would be considered slander.

Dirty cops are hard to beat. I had a 9mm stole from a State Trooper and confronted him at the sheriff's office, of course it is my word against him. When I reported it stolen you best believe I said I think he is the one who had it. I have lived in this small town for years and the good ole boy system is alive and kicking...

Please tell us the entire story. It's not like you were just walking down the road and this guy just picked you out at random. What did you do to him? Or what have you been arrested for? Was it stealing? Because I would honestly want to know that about you before I let you into my house or property. You have a temper or attitude? You threaten someone? I don't want to deal with you.

Please tell us the entire story, you are not 100% innocent here.

Well freedom of speach. Its not considers slander unless you can prove you have loss money or work due to it, that it has harmed you in some way. If so you are able to sue him in small claims court. My suggestion would be to write to his Captain or the Cheif of Police.

Wow - that is something if it is true

I suggest getting in touch with all the people he has contacted about you and getting a record of what was said and when

then, contact an attorney, file suit against him, and the police station and the state.

If he is lying, you could file a grievance.

But if he is not, the freedom of speech covers him.
