ok synonyms are basically words which have a similar or same meaning.
for example for the words 'and' you can write 'also' or for the word 'like' you can say 'fond of' that's if your talking about if you like something. if your saying she is like her mother. then you can use the word similar!
use a thesaurus. they are very usefule.
or go on microsoft word, type in the word, then right click on the word and hover the mouse arrow over 'synonyms' then you'll find a list of words

Shhhhhh! This is a secret, so don't tell anyone else. There is a book that gives a synonym for every word in the English language. It is called a dictionary. If you go to the back room of a bookstore, and whisper the word to a clerk, they may be kind enough to sell you a copy. But don't tell anyone I told you!

Synonyms (in ancient Greek syn 'ÏÏ
ν' = plus and onoma 'Ïνομα' = name) are different words with similar or identical meanings and are interchangeable. Antonyms are words with opposite or nearly opposite meanings. (Synonym and antonym are antonyms.)
An example of synonyms are the words cat and feline. Each describes any member of the family Felidae. Similarly, if we talk about a long time or an extended time, long and extended become synonyms.

If you're old enough to have a daughter you should know what it means. It's a word of the same or similar meaning. eg. a synonym of rabbit is bunny. You should try a quick google search or check out www.dictionary.com before wasting five points.
