I used to sing "You are my sunshine" to my daughter when she was little. She loved it and knew all the words. It made me smile to sing it because of the line "You make me haaaaaappy when skies are grey". I love the sound of those words coming out of my mouth.

I have no idea where this came from, but it was one my mum used to tell me when I was small, and I now tell it to my two boys:

Him was a fly upon a wall, him had no mummy, no daddy at all, him had no mummy to comb his hair, him no care, him have no hair, HIM BALDY.

Even now (I'm thirty) I find it so funny and my three year old thinks its hysterical to add 'just like granda' at the very end.
