I believe that he probably would. After all, when was the last time a Democrat Congressman resigned because of immoral, unethical or even illegal activity?
Also, having seen the Dem party choose power over principle during the Clinton impeachment, I cannot imagine them not protecting one of their own to the maximum extent possble.

No because Democratic candidates seized on a disgraced congressman's explicit messages with underage boys — and House Republican leaders' handling of the situation — to argue that voters should toss the GOP (Grand Old Party) from power. And if they did then i think that it does not matter if you are a democrat or a republican!!!

No. He resigned so quickly because he knew his guilt would be immediately evident, and damage control quickly became his priority. He plainly did not consider the best interests of his party while he indulged in his little escapades. I doubt very much belonging to a different party would change his nature, or his behavior.
However, if he were a Democrat, I'm fairly certain he would not have stayed so long in a position of power. He would have been drummed out, investigated, and prosecuted, years ago.

Personally, I would hope not. To judge anyone based on party as opposed to the rules is pure idiocy.

NO, no matter which party your involved with there should be place or party for you to hide in, the only party they should be a part of is the party that they have for "NEW FISH" in prison.

No I don't believe so. With elections so close, the Republicans would have launched huge attack campaigns aimed at making all Democrats appear to be child molesters....ooops...sorry they are already doing that....

yes. There are plenty of examples of the demonrats doing the same exact thing & they're still in office. They're always saying "keep your personal life personal" when it comes to the things they do. They're hipocrates.

Yes, he may be censured, but they will give him standing ovations while he turns his back on the censures and then the Dems will re-elect him over and over again!
