While I am a Bear fan I've actually been feeling kind of sorry for Brett Favre this year. I don't understand why he didn't retire. I know he loves the game but with a new coach and a young squad he really couldn't have expected much other than the position he currently faces. He should have retired a couple of years ago when the Pack made the playoffs and lost to the Vikings. He could have had any tv job he wanted. I keep hearing rumours that he may want to play for another team. That would just be wrong. He has been the heart and soul of the Packers. He is one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game. He just hung around to long.

Packers are in the down slope of the football equilibrium. I would expect some firings/trades after this season, maybe trading for draft choices. They have to rebuild the dynasty. Possibly 3 seasons before they are back on top in the NFL world.
As for right now, its as if they are just not trying. The good part is they have hit rock bottom, only place left to go is up.

They stink but its not all Bret's fault. They are a young team and it will take time for them to grow. This is probably Bret's last year.
