Yep - check out the press release below;
10 May 2006
Orange is to be the new ‘national roaming partner’ for 3 – carrying 3 customers’ calls on our UK 2G network when a 3 customer is outside 3’s 3G coverage area.
3 customers will continue to roam on O2, 3’s current national roaming provider, until a transition phase starts in late 2006.
Following the transition phase existing 3 customers’ handsets will select the Orange network in preference to O2, though they’ll still be able to roam on to O2. From next year new 3 customers will only roam on to the Orange network.
3 has over 3.5 million UK customers and its 3G-only network provides coverage to 88% of the UK population. The new agreement with Orange will ensure its customers continue to have 99% national GSM (2G) coverage, filling in the gaps not covered by the 3 network.
Under the agreement 3 customers will seamlessly roam on to the Orange network when they’re outside areas covered by the 3 network. They’ll be able to continue to make and receive voice calls, send and receive text and multi-media messages, and access GPRS data services.

You will find that Government policy encourages ALL companies to mast share to prevent 5 or 6 masts all in the same vicinity. Likelihood is that if 3 and orane are on a mast, so will Vodaphone and T-mobile etc etc etc
