If it's valuable to you, DON"T touch any more. TAKE it AS IS to a specialist. Look in the yellow pages under video, photo shops, etc. You won't be able to save it all if some is melted, but you'll be surprised at what someone with the right equipment can retrieve. You'll want to ask them to restore as much as possible and put it on DVD to prevent future problems. Other than that, look for "Jem and the Hologram" online and see if someone can send you a copy.

Hope this helps.

There are recommendations that the CIA/NSA has get admission to to, in spite of the indisputable fact that it might fee thousands of greenbacks in case you even got here across a keep that could want to do it. next time, please knock out the write-safeguard tab out of your efficient VHS tapes. Sorry, life is going on.

Take it to a film editor, or if you can not fix it. Then splice the tape in that area and cut out the bad tape and then put it back together.

yes water will make it worse. The film is actually a form of a gel... your best bet would be to take it to somebody who could do it for you.... I don't kow who that might be, but maybe (if salvagable) they could put it on a DVD... sorry

Yes, water will make it worse.

Camera and video editing shops can repair it. Do nothing and take it there.
