It is Sylvester. After Dorothy leaves Professor Marvel's trailer, and the storm starts to brew, Prof. Marvel says, "Easy There, Sylvester...there's a storm coming in." Or something to that effect.

I've watched the movie over 100 times and read the book "The Making of the Wizard of Oz" and I have NEVER come across any name for the "horse of a different color." If it DOES have a name it is not mentioned in the movie.
