walking is probaly the most effective way to enduce labor that I have personally experienced. Having sex is also another thing you could try that may help bring on labor.

hiya i found that very hot baths helped. spicy food loosens up your bowls which has a slite chance of making you womb contract. its the same with rasberry tea but its not recomeded that you drink this until after 36 weeks. sex it the best one and lots of it spem reacts with the mucus by diloting it a bit making you more likly to go in to labour. if all that fails try asking your midwife to do a stretch and swoop it. this can be done around about your due date. you could also try long walks and riding a bike its all about irrertating the womb but you have to be careful. hope that any of this can help. but trust me the longer its in the better for the baby and just think its not going to be in there for ever. goodluck.

I heard veal parmisian (?), jumping on a trampoline, just walking alot. I tried all of them, but it didn't work. But there are places that give pregnancy massages and there are certain pressure points that they can rub that makes you go into labor. That is what I found to work the best. Good Luck!!!

Nothing really makes you go into labor. I tried everything from sex, walking, bumpy cars rides, you name and I was STILL overdue and had to have a c-section because my cervix never effaced. My son was 8lbs oz. 20.75 inches long.

I know there is a drug that can be used to induce labor. Not sure of anything over the counter though.

No joke...eggplant parmesan.
Try it, but please make sure you are at least 37 weeks- you WILL go into labor.
Trust me... I KNOW!
Good luck, sweetie! ;^)
ps... please don't do the castor oil, unless you want to have explosive diarrhea on the table. That's about all you get from it, with contractions. I tried everything with both of mine, and eggplant parmesan is tried and true!

sex, sex and more sex.
spicy foods only end up giving you indigestion. i heard an oil and vinegar salad helps.
having your doctor strip your cervical membrane. i prefer that method. the two times my doctor did it i had the baby in my arms in 24 hours.
