Because our planet is the only one with a "the Moon" other planets either don't have a moon or have more than one so their moons need names to tell them apart.

Moon is a name. We call the moons of other planets "moons" as a classification because the category is named after our own; then we give them other names to distinguish them.

When we first called it "the moon", it was because it was, so far as we knew, THE moon: i. e. the only one we knew existed. It wasn't until we had lenses that we discovered that other planets had moons.

Indeed, other planets were only brighter stars in the sky that sometimes showed retrograde movement across the sky, or appeared to "go backwards" for a while before resuming their normal path in the sky.

Our moon is not called moon. It is called the moon as if no other moon matters which is suggestive of why we would think that we are the center of the universe.
