It's "Summertime" as recorded by Big Brother & the Holding Company (see also Janis Joplin, as she was their singer at the time & later went solo) - the song originated in the operetta "Porgy and Bess" and was written by George & Ira Gershwin - the Janis Joplin rendition you're referring to is without a doubt the most popular of the last 70 years, originally appeared on the album CHEAP THRILLS (Columbia records 1967) and can also be found on numerous Janis Joplin collections.
