The seventies. Had a great time, despite the Vietnam war.
Wish I had that motorcycle still.
Music was great... Hendrix, Doors and the Beatles, among others

I liked both decades. I was a kid in the 70's and a teen in the 80's.

I liked the 70's cause it was a simpler time, I liked the music of that era, the clothing styles were fun they look silly now, and it's funny to look at in old family photo albums now. I think kids respected adults more, and adults respected each other more. The worst part about the 70's was getting over Vietnam and the mid 70's is when the middle east conflict began.

I liked the 80's cause I was a teen and remember a lot more about it. I wouldn't take 80's fashion or styles back because it was just plain comical. The music was pretty good and I still listen to a lot of that music from the era. When I watch movies from that era the special effects are so lame now, when they used to be so cutting edge, pretty funny to watch movies like Ghostbusters. Politically, it wasn't fun to come home from school to catch up on the day's news to hear about the Cold War with Russia and mutual assured destruction.

I think overall I'd have to say 1970's.

I would do both decades. I was a child of the 70s and a teen of the 80s. The 70s were a wonderful time to be a kid. So great to grow up then. The only enemy we had was the Soviet Union. You could go outside without having strangers trying to pick you up. The 80s were great too. The music became fresh and great, the movies unforgettable. A great time to be alive.

Must disagree with USAF.prim as the beatles split in 1969, and Hendrix died in 1970. I think he means the 60's.

80s was definitely more varied than the 70s, and being a New Romantic was great fun. In the UK there was also the 'Madchester' vibe and the rave music scene. Started the decade on LSD & dope, moved through whizz and adrenochrome, ending on 'E'.
Got to admit that the 70s had Glam (more Bolan than Glitter), and David Bowie peaked, but also had disco!

The 70's. I would love to know what I know now, but be 12 years old again. I'd leave some things the same, but there are many that I choices that I made in life that I would not do again. Wouldn't it nice if we could really do this...ahhh, to dream.

The '70s. I like the music & I prefer '70s style (clothes, hair) over the "big eighties."
