That is precisely what I think is probably happening, I can't say I'm very happy about that prospect and it pisses me off when I realize I've done everything in my life a million times before, but that is what I believe, not to mention that I also think there are hundreds of thousands of other universes out there doing exactly the same thing with other Earths in them and all that jazz.

My concept is easy. What make planet Earth and the Universe/multiverses pass 'around' ? the respond is-- residing issues, guy, matter(atoms, molecules, debris, nano forces, and so forth), gentle, warmth, stress, gravity, gravitation and the Tao that's all-pervading and indescribable. some call the final one God, Allah, ultimate stress or different names. there is not any single which potential of existence, yet there's a purpose or an purpose. each and every guy or woman has a diverse one. How the Universe or existence began, no person truly is familiar with, no longer even the main mind-blowing biologist, anthropologist, cosmologist, astronomer or logician. To good judgment this correct of all mysteries one needs good and sufficient data, which incorporates useful gadgets, and so forth. So there are in basic terms speculations and theories, too many infact. The Tao, which for 5000yrs has been believed to be the better skill impacts each and every component interior the Universe, from the microscopic to the macro international, from the workings of climate to the atomic bomb, from reasons and outcomes of ailments to outcomes of drugs, to births and deaths, and so forth. The Universe is likewise controlled by certainty, scientific regulations, love, will and different intelligences that are previous maximum human beings. in basic terms enlightened souls like yogic masters, super philosophers and prophets can understand them. Om Shanti! :-))

My understanding of thermodynamics is that irreversible processes occur all the time; irreversible processes cause the entropy (disorder, or number of states available) of the universe to increase.
If the entropy of the universe ever increases, there is no way it can go through a cycle with the exact same set of results. This would require entropy to decrease, which is contrary to the 2nd law of thermodynamics.
If there is some kind of oscillation of the universe, I would think it would be more like a spring with friction than an ideal spring. The universe would eventually collapse on itself, blow up again, and this time things would be a little different, like maybe the universe wouldn't expand quite as much.
I hope you stay interested in physics. I like to learn a little on the side, but I don't study it quantitatively and in depth any more.

The Nobel prize por physics was awarded for showing how microwaves are still existen in the Universe after 300,000/400,000 years after the BigBang that was around 14 Billions years ago.
Energy remains there never dies.
I don't think there is going to be a repetition for all events, we can see monkeys or animals evolve as we can see how humans evolve with their mentality and even so with their bodies. It is not logical that the Universe will repeat the same over again, that would be against evolution, because if we are in a stage that will repeat again, why dinosaurs arent here? Why the Big Bang isnt here again?
What you wrote has to do with some theories of reincarnation about how a Soul could "repeat" itself in a plant, animal or another human, and that Soul and conscience never dies and repeats the process in different forms.

Neo,
A good theory based on an Einstein -De Sitter model of the Universe. Unfortunately this model is no longer consistent with the observed rate of expansion - which is increasing. Sorry no big crunch just a universe with a density of zero for both matter and energy.

That's the simple harmonic motion theory of the universe. The full cycle is (1) expansion from zero gradually slowing until it reaches a maximum (2) reduction from maximum to zero (3) re-emergence of an anti-universe expanding to a maximum (4) return to zero. Then the whole cycle starts again. That means the universe has always existed and big bang occurs twice in every cycle.
Sorry, but someone beat you to it!

I don't think the universe will contract, but there could be big bangs happening in other parts of the universe, to spread more matter around.

Big bang will occur again and again for many times..
Yes I buy that ..
but for it to place all the planets and stars in the same position ie like our earth and our sun in exactly the same
place highly unlikely near on impossible
Is it possible for the big bang to occur and have the same billions of stars placed in the identical place..
I don't think so ..can you throw a hand full of marbles
up in the air ..and expect them to fall in the same place every time ...lol

sure, why not. But maybe the physical universe will be the same but very small changes (random chances) cause a different history (one without humans etc). Eddies in the space time continum (poor guy).

I think what you are proposing is that the universe is in someway controlled. By what? When it contracts will we live our lives backwards? Come on guys puberty wasn't that many laughs forwards can you imagine it in reverse.
