there's satellite; which I hear has improved a lot since its early efforts for modem service.
There are also services coming about of local broadcast high-speed; reputed to be 100x faster than DSL, but this is far from widespread yet. The only area I know of is the northern Catskill Mts of NY state, but I hear there are a few other places doing this, too.

you must live in a place like me. Satellite is way expensive. Cable is reasonable. You might be albe to find a broadband internet that broadcasts over FM waves, don't know of a company name in your area... I don't know your area.

have you tried all internet providers? ntl are excellent.tesco do internet now as well! u could try a satelite connection, or at worst, you'll have to move.
