An essay of 100 hundred words?!! That's hardly a paragraph! In any case, shouldn't you be researching and writing this for yourself - especially, if you are at college?
Look, if you do some reading, and also carry out a bit of research via Google, you'll get a great feeling of accomplishment when you hand in the essay as your own work.
So get cracking - and good luck!

Ethics is a psychological study of human standards and morals. Thus we can define behaviours into 'good' or 'bad' depending on what issues are involved. Some would be extreme, for example killing would be considered 'bad' and giving money' could be considered 'good'. However it is also a matter of perception. If someone shot a rabid dog that was about to savage a baby would that then be 'good' and giving money to a drug addict which would enable him to buy more could then be 'bad'? So it can be seen that ethics are far more complex than just defining 'good' and 'bad'. This could be summed up in the proverb 'One man's meat is another man's poison.'

Respected Asker! The following information will be helpful to you in finding what you are looking for.
An essay is a short work of writing that treats a topic from an author's personal point of view. Essays are non-fictional but often subjective; while expository, they can also include narrative. Essays can be learned arguments, literary criticism, political manifestos, observations of daily life, recollections and reflections of the author.
The definition of an essay is vague, overlapping with those of an article and a short story. Almost all modern essays are written in prose, but works in verse have been dubbed essays (Alexander Pope's An Essay on Criticism and An Essay on Man). While today an essay is partly defined by its brevity, voluminous works like John Locke's An Essay Concerning Human Understanding and Thomas Malthus's An Essay on the Principle of Population refer to themselves using the term.
