Any of you going to pay $499 to $599 for the Playstation 3? A game system? That's just way too much in my book. But, people will pay it won't they? Let's see putting gas in my vehicle for a month and a half or buy a game system. That's a tough one.

Well people will pay anything for those things man. At one point the PS2 was selling for over $800 on ebay. People wanted them that bad. There are 2 reasons why I am going to wait at least a year after to get a PS3.
1. The bugs and all the defects will not be fixed when they first come out, just like the PS2. The PS2 was notorious for the disc read errors and mine is still broken because of that. I even sent mine to sony to get it fixed and when it came back it worked for a while then broke again.
2. The F'ing price it will drop and the bugs should be fixed. That's what I recommend to all because that's what I am going to do.

I'll be getting one as soon as I can.
Stand alone Blu-ray players are $1000 right now. The PS3 is a great deal, for that alone.
If you can't afford it, enjoy the PS2 for now, since its so much cheaper. Great games are still coming out for it (Bully, Okami, God of War II). Maybe in a couple years the PS3 will come down to a price that you think is reasonable.

It all depends on if there are any playable games for it. Personally I dont think there will be, so I will be buying the Nintendo Wii when it is available. It will be much cheaper and have a ton of playable games, plus the online service where you can buy "classic" games that will play on the Wii.
