the guru is right. you better believe the dodgers are going to advance into the nlcs. The mets have not been impressive at all. Other than the baserunning blunder in game one there was also brad penny's cough up job. Game 2 also saw a botched sure thing double play from rafael furcal and a wild pitch that enabled chavez to score.
The pitching is still a problem for the mets and they will find their back against the wall and feeling the heat soon as the streaky dodger team will flip the switch and light a fire after a game 3 win.
The padres have good pitching but they are dumb enough to pitch to albert pujols. that series is over. The dodgers will win the pennent and they will will face the Yankees in the World Series.

The Dodgers are coming back from their 2-0 deficit. They've got future Hall of Famer Greg Maddux going in game 3. They were great at home all year, so look for them to take the series to the max 5 games and send it back to New York. If not for one of the dumbest baserunning mistakes in baseball history, the Dodgers probably would have won game one, so I like their chances to come back. The Padres play much better on the road, but I don't think that they have the hitting to come back from 0-2.
I think that the Dodgers will have all of the momentum heading into the NLCS, and, even though they sucked against the Cardinals in the regular season, I like the Dodgers to defeat the Cards in 6 games. Look for the Dodgers to take the National League pennant.
GO DODGERS!!!!

definite, the Phils technically have the extra useful bats. yet does that propose that they are guaranteed to win? Being a Phillie fan, i understand that their offense would be frustratingly ineffective for classes of time. Even in the Reds sequence their hitting wasn't extremely spectacular. What they do have is journey. they have been here till now, and that they are very sturdy at comebacks. As for the Giants, something is attainable with Posey. the guy has been great this postseason and is wearing the group. If another adult men initiate hitting, they're going to be no longer elementary to beat. in my opinion, I see a six interest sequence with the Phils popping out on good in some very close video games.

I'm hoping for Padres vs. Dodgers in the NL and Twins and Tigers in the AL
I'd like to see Padres v. Twins in the World series (Padres win in 4 games) even though both teams are down 0-2

I am going with the Mets. They are easily the best, most well rounded team in the NL, but the Cards have really found their game and are going to be a tough team to beat. I am going to say that the Mets take it in 6 games. As for the AL, I bet the Yankees will beat the Tigers, the A's will beat the Twins, and the Yankees will sweep the A's in the ALCS. That will be a subway series in '06, and I bet the Mets take the Yankees all the way to game 7, but the Yankees emerge as the winners. Its tough to beat the Yankees at home, and they have the advantage in all categories, plus more playoff experience.
