I really don't think the brand of test makes a difference...they all have to meet the requirements in order to be allowed on the market.

as far as 1st morning urine, no, it does not have to be morning urine. that is when you have to most hormones is right away in the am, but if you drink a lot of water, it can dilute the urine (& the amont of hormones) making the test neg otherwise, it shouldn't affect it no matter what time of day.

I just recently found out i was pregnant, & my period was late. i just came off bc too & didn't really know when i would start but by day 29 of my cycle, i thought i'd better test. i tested in the evening around 5 pm & as soon as i peed on the stick, it went up the control window positive right away. i didn't think i was as i just came off bc last month but hey, that's the way it goes.

Good Luck to you!!

1. Although some test don't require it, morning urine is best because it has more hcg in it.
2. I have never used the test from 1 dollar store, I have always used Clear Blue and it has been always right.
3. The same thing happened to me (stop taking the pill in midpack) and my body's hormones where just adjusting to this sudden change, I was not pg, I also had 2 periods that month. Good luck

You have to wait 7-10 days after your missed period before you can tell by a test. It is too early yet. It is always possible that you are, but you should retest at that time if you still do not get your period. Another thing is that the tests at the dollar store are much better than the more expensive ones, so go with the dollar store brand! Oh, YES!! It is better to take the test in the morning when you get up because that is when the hormone HCG is at its highest concentration and can be detected easier, but if you ARE pregnant, any time of day should show a positive result, after the alloted time span. Good Luck!

I've heard the dollar store tests are just as accurate. You might want to wait a couple days and if you still don't get your period, test again. It's better to use the fmu (first morning urine) because it has the most pregnancy hormone in it because you're not diluting with water and other drinks like you would during the day. Good luck!

Most tests nowadays dont require that you test with the first morning urine - however that is the time when your hormone levels are the highest.

Alot of people have had good luck with the $ store test.
I use the First Response Early Results test though.

Buy a couple more tests and try agian in the morning.

Good luck.

1st-morning will have a higher concentration of the pregnancy hormone, which is what the test is reacting (or not) to. While the tests say it can be done any time of day, the morning urine is the best.
Your symptoms could be completely related to stopping your pills. Your body is just adjusting to suddenly being without the hormonal support you were giving it.

i use the dollar store tests and theyve always been accurate for me i just buy the $1 ones and i get three
three bucks is still a steal compared to the pricy ones
however if youve just come off the pill you might get a bogus result anyway due to freaked out hormone levels, also you are far more likely to get pregnant right after you quit taking the pill
anyway good luck to you
and if youre still in question see a doctor
if you cant afford it or dont want anyone to know go to your local health department
good luck

It helps as the HCG (pregnancy hormone) is much higher in the morning than any other time of day.

I took three tests and one proved negative but the two said I was positive and it turrned out positive

Good luck hon

just depends how late you are. If it isn't that late or not late at all then I recommend doing the first morning pee, this way the levels of hormones are higher and easier to detect.
