i just got hired for a job and they are getting ready to do my background check. i don't have a lot of experience and i kind of extended the truth a little bit, but not alot. i jsut said that my last job, which was on unemployment, was work, not just volunteer. i got paid to do it from unemployment but i didnt say it was volunteer. how much trouble can you get in for saying you may have worked there a little bit longer than you did. only by a month or 2 longer....

yeah they won't check all that on a cakground check... if you're talking about a regernce check, then i don't think it should be too much of a problem.. i don't think they'll ask precisely how many months you worked there...bt as a matter of ethics, i'd say lying is not the correct way to start a new job...it can a lot of problems for you in future..just a tip..

The background check can be different for different jobs. Pharmacy techs have their background checks from the FBI, while retail stores just check with the local police. If you committed fraud from unemployment, then you may have an issue. But until the background check comes back, do the best job you can.

Depends on what kind of release you signed for your background check. There are several different background checks and several different levels of each. For example they could do a criminal background check, a personal background check, an employment background check, and/or a financial background check.

Also, depending on the security needs of your employer they may search deeper into your background for higher security level clearances.

When a backround check is done(I do these all day long)By law all that can be asked is if you are eligible for re-hire,and the dates you worked.But....in your favor......Your backround had to of been checked already for them to of hired you! They are probably waiting pending a criminal history check. If you are not a serial killer, then re4lax!Good luck.

Background check is for criminal activities. Arrest, served time in prison, those types of checks.

your background check is usually to check if you have any criminal activity. It doesn't usually mean anything with your prior employment. They already checked your references if you are hired already. Don't worry a bout it!
