My boyrfriend had always wanted a studio, so for his birthday I bought him Protools M-powered. I need to know what else I need so he can make some tracks. We have a computer for him to use, and I know I need a 410 interface. What else do you need to make tracks?

Cool!
Lucky boyfriend...I wish my wife would have bought me my ProTools!

Here's my very first recommendation: buy this book - "The Musician's Guide to Pro Tools" by John Keane.

This is a great book for beginners and pros alike (best price I've seen was on Amazon.com) and it walks you through all the hoops in plain language.

I don't know what a "410 interface" is, but I suspect your guy has a PC.
I'm a Macintosh user, so my head is in a different place.
It is important that he has enough processing power and he MUST have a second drive(internal OR external).
The book explains what is needed for maximum performance.
