why dont you do it yourself or hire a plumbing contractor.. im sure you could do it cheaper than that.. if the municipality is doing the work, than the empolyees are going to be making a premium wage, where a contractor will offer you a competative bid.. get three estimates so you know youre not getting a raw deal from him..

i would guess that a contractor could do it for about 1/2 of that.. the materials for a 80 feet of line cant be more then a couple hundred bucks..

Hey fly chick,, call a few plumbing, construction or sewer/drain cleaning companies for a free quote. My hubby works for a company that does that kind of install and thinks you should be able to do better in your area. FOr example, we had to put in 40 feet of code sewer pipe at our cabin on the coast, we only paid $500.00 and that included the permit and connection fee. (Washington state)

What diameter 3"? If you do it yourself under $1000.00
