Bush is dug in so hard on so many lies - on Iraq, terrorism, civil liberties, corporate welfare, corruption, and free spending - that he just has to keep making the lies bigger to save face.

This is a very basic moral lapse, the sort of thing most people learn about when they're 4 years old. Obviously, in the Bush family they learned that holding onto power was more important than the truth or acting in the best interests of your country.

I don't think it's just about oil or having control or occupying another country. If you can look beyond what is happening at this moment you can clearly see some interesting developments, for example; If we were to succeed in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Yes, the US would have a friendly (hopefully) toe hold in oil rich areas. We would also be very close to Africa, China, N.Korea and the entire mid-east just to name a few countries and areas that we could have a vested interest in whether good or bad.

If the US were able to base with embassy and military the long run affect would be advantages for us and respective countries. I would use S. Korea and Japan as examples. We fought and occupied both and today they are thriving countries that trade immensely with the US.

George Bush isn't much different than any other president we've had in the past 60 years, I believe it the nuances of the office that make or break president. If you look at it historically, by far President Bush is not the worst!

Without Iraq, George Bush is nothing.
The Dow has ticked up less than 100 points in 6 years.
Osama is still free.
Afghanistan is back in the hands of the Taliban.
Fiscal and trade deficits are through the roof.
We still have abortion.

As bad as Iraq is (and it is totally ****ed up) it is his crowning glory.

Yo, dude! Don't be so quick to judge. Perhaps there is a valid reason for keeping troops in Iraq...like maybe we will be invading Iran (which is closeby) soon. In case you haven't been paying attention, Iran is almost developed a nuclear bomb.

Shut Up And Leave Him Alone. . . I've said this a thousand times. . .. Bush is doing a great job, and if he could be in there another 4 years, he'd have my vote.

He wants the oil and he won't stop until he has it. That doesn't mean he'll get it though!
