The Master and Dame own the black sheep, the wool is rightfully theirs, so giving a bag to the poor boy is an act of kindness.
The "black sheep' is always misunderstood. :-)

If he gave him too much wool - the boy would stop looking for a job! he'd just think "oh all I have to do is look longingly at that black sheep down the lane and he'll give me some wool- that I can sell on the "black market" and buy ciggies and booze - so whats the point in making an effort!!"
you see the sheep is giving him enough just to make a jumper for an interview!!
love the question

The black sheep didnt mean to give the boy only one bag, The other day the black sheep tripped and fell down the hill, he hit his head on a rock and is suffering from hallucinations, so when he gave the boy one bag of wool to the sheep it looked like 100 bags because his vision is all messed up!

Well dear, In England, where this song originates from, we had a well developed sense of social justice. Unfortunately, nowadays, the poor boys from down he lane keep demanding more and more; so the whole system of wool bartering has collapsed.

Bye the way dear, we are not allowed to call them Black sheep anymore!

I agree. He could've a least given him 2 bags, and split the remaining bag with the dame and the master. Perhaps he's a communist and thinks everyone should have an equal share of the wool?

Baa, baa, black sheep, have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full
ONE for my master,
ONE for my dame,
and ONE for the little boywho lives down the lane.

The sheep can produce more wool. The sheep really isn't giving it away, it's the master that's giving it, so damn the master, not the sheep.

Because if he tried to give anymore to the poor boy the master and dame would eat him and all of his off-spring.

He's lucky to be getting anything at all. He got exactly what the others got, but he didn't have to pay for it. Good deal.

First off you need to read more. So please go to your local library and read the entire story. Then with a little effort you will learn how large those bags really were. I guess there is truth that we really don't read enough, or just enough to confused us........... Also racism is very unbecoming.....................
