wait a couple of months before doing anything to tighten back or she'll just end up making it worse but if she were tight/healthy to begin with she for the most part will go back to normal in that time frame

I've had 4 c-sections and I eventually get close to being back to normal. My weight goes back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but even without the stresses and strains of a vaginal birth, I swear it seems like my hip structure has changed a bit. Probably just from all of the changes that were necessary to accomodate the baby while I was pregnant. Anyway, I had my most recent baby 6 months ago and I can fit back into almost everything I wore before. I still feel like I am carrying a little bit of extra weight around my waistband. I'm up about 7 lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight, but I'm breastfeeding for a kid with a healthy apetite so some of that presumedly is milk-related!
As far as how to get back into shape... Even though I felt up to exercise about 4 weeks after the delivery, the doctor wouldn't clear me to exercise until she saw me at my 6-week postpartum. I've mainly been running around (literally and figuratively) with my other kids. I'm afraid that I'm not disciplined enough to do anything too regular or strenuous! But I eat reasonably and am generally fairly active so the weight seems to be coming off gradually.
I hope it goes well for your sister! And let her know that although the first week or two after a c-section can be fairly painful, it really does get better!

I've had 3 c-sections and while I don't have that saggy pouch most natural delivery moms get, after the third I can't lose the last of the bulge. Tell her to give her body time to heal before starting anything rigorous. Inside could take up to a year to completely heal. This is MAJOR surgery, after all! Congratulations to both new mommy & loving auntie!

Your stomach will not go back to pre-pregnancy shape unless you work at it for a little while it will be saggy try sit ups and leg lifts to tighten lower area. Or join one of those mommy and me exercise classes where you workout with your baby.

You have to really work at it. Lots of toning exercises and proper diet. However since she had a Csection she needs to wait until her 6 weeks check up and discuss exercise with her doctor. Sometimes it takes a long time before you really feel able to exercise.
I had a Csection 4 months ago and it took me 3 months before my body was really up for toning exercises, especially abdominal exercises.

It all depends on if she has gained a substantial amount of weight in the stomach area...if she has gained or if its a bit stretchy in her mid section...it can be tightened with the right exercises...

Well exercise will help get her back in shape especially if she worked out before. Breastfeeding also helps you lose your baby weight.

It's hard to say... some people bounce right back afterward and some people don't.. some people it takes lots of exercise...and others plastic surgery.... they cut into your muscles and sometimes you lose the muscle tone there which requires surgery... she will just have to wait and see

While I'm all about fitness. Tell your sister to focus on raising a great child for now, not herself.
