My almost three year old daughter has been scratching her head (mainly the top) for over two weeks now and is tearing her scalp apart, she has lots of kids around her who goes to school so she has been checked for lice plenty of times, thats not it. I cant use head and shoulders on her what can I do, she really has scabs on her head from scratching at it.(Doesn't complain though)

I went through the same thing with my son. I was told to use T-Gel shampoo (CVS has a generic version called Therapeutic Shampoo). Ask your daughter's physician first just to be sure it's OK for her. Good luck!

Try using more conditioner in her hair, you can try using a shampoo without fragrance too a hypoallergenic shampoo... she could be allergic to the one your using now and also i don't know where you live but here in Kentucky the weather has changed and that causes alot of people to have a dry scalp and maybe your daughter is having that problem. If the conditioner or shampoo change doesn't work id talk to a doctor maybe he can give you some kind of special shampoo or creme to stop the itching.. good luck hon!

wash with T-Gel or a similar store brand and I know this may sound crazy but put Sulfer 8 hair grease on the scabes and it should heal and soothe her scalp.
