You gotta love Robin Williams......Leave it to him to come up with the perfect plan...Hard to argue with this logic!

"I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan."

1) "The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those "good 'ole' boys", we will never "interfere" again.

2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea, the Middle East, and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence.

3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where they are. They're illegal!!!


4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.

5) No foreign "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby.

6) The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere." They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH...learn it...or LEAVE...Now, isn't that a winner of a plan?

I like the fact that it is not insulting to Americans (in my opinion) concerning the issues of the world!

I agree that we should fortify our nation, clean it up and out!

Sigh. Clueless. Ignorance. Not surprising from "StonerChick" I suppsose. People like this make me sad to be American sometimes in the hopes of educating people who drive SUVs, live in the suburbs and don't bother reading or listening or traveling (yes, you, Mr. Bush) I will answer.

1. We do interfere. That is why Osama bin Laden exists and about 1000 other examples. Our Iraqi interference has been tragic.

2. If we withdraw, even more people die and we lose strategic military positions we went to war for. It is not that these countries "don't want" the US there (no idea where you got that from) it is that sometimes soldiers can get out of control. Troops on our borders would be dangerous for many reasons.

3. So what about all the "illegals" with legal children who are citizens born here? Leave them behind?

4. It is called a visa. Most people do not even get 90 days. Get a passport and travel a bit. Who decides what a "terrorist" nation is? Without asylum there would never be regime change and there would be awful genocides. Perhaps we have enough cabbies, but do we have enough nuclear engineers? Surgeons?

5. The post-graduate education provided in the US allows people to return to their countries to help out. A doctor from an African nation who can train here can go back and teach 10 more doctors who can teach 100 more etc. Just one example.

6. I actually agree with part one and two but no need to drill in Alaska if that worked.

7. Do you really think it is the Saudis? American companies are making the money price per barrel would not change your pump price that much (look into oil reserves and federal regulations). Why do you think we have been warring in the Middle East for so long? Because we care about people? And we pay because we are gluttons. Oil-rich countries are rich, they don't care if we ever buy oil again. Furthermore, there is no where else to really go to get oil.

8. That is just sad. People should not die and you clearly have no facts on this issue. Have you ever bothered to do relief work? Why would you think "most" of what is sent is stolen? The people often do get it, and even if you were right (which you are not) the "little" is a lot if you have nothing.

9. Sure, great idea. I'm certain the security on this island will be great. No one wants to kill world leaders right? Should be perfectly safe. I live near the UN -- sure it's a hassle sometimes, but the UN needs to be in a safe and secure place for the business of protecting the world. Have you ever even been inside? Of course not.

10. I think you should go to school of any kind. That would be excellent. By the way, "we" don't all speak English. That is the beauty of this country. The Founding Fathers were very wise. They could have put a clause like that in the Constitution very simply "All business of the nation and several states will be conducted in English unless otherwise designated by Congress." One sentence. Congress could make it a law under Art. I (8) (that is the "necessary and proper clause" which I am also certain you have never read) .. and yet in all the years we have been a nation, that law hasn't passed. Hmmm. If only we had your wisdom to be such "winners" ...

I mean, you can't say no one from a terrorist nation is banned. I mean, we can't predict the future, Paris could become a terrorist nation someday. Then what? I agree with many of your points, but we can't sterotype all of these people, and as far as the speak english, aren't we forgetting that all of us EXCEPT the natives have no right to criticize all immigrants, that's what we are all. NO matter how long ago our families came here or what brought them here. How about we petition our officials to come out with better alternatives to oil, so we won't be at the mercy of other nations for our supply?

It would certainly be an interesting plan to execute. I can hear the crys of those who say the world would end as a result. Those stupid and heartless Americans they might say. Those with such a view would quickly learn a very clear lesson as to how much the rest of the envious world needs us and that we intend to protect ourselves from those who have no respect for our immigration laws.

An idea with no drawbacks. I hope our allies can beat off the onslaught. And once the rest of the world kills each other off we can split up the rest of the world with our allies and live in peace and harmony. The Middle east should be off limits though, I think it's the heat that pisses everyone off that lives there.

very great plan, but u'll have to convince american working abroad and making a lot of money to come back home, u'll also have a prob with too many soldiers roaming around back home, those boys are naughty and need to kept in distant bases to keep them warm, how do we solve our energy prob in the interim b4 we develop alternative source, i strongly support the idea of stopping muslims from entering the country but u'll have a lot of prob back home from various groups
