Start by saying if you liked the poem and why you did (or didn't).
Then you need to identify what poetic devices the poet has used in the poem - alliteration, onomatopoeia, etc. - you will have studied all these so go back over your notes. This part is the one area where there is a definite answer - where all the essays should have the same answers.
Say how effective you think these devices are. Talk about the poem as a whole - what you think the poet meant - how they wanted you to feel about the poem. Use lots of quotes and illustrations. You might even compare it to another poem of the same type - show differences and similarities. The important thing to remember is that everyone can feel differently about the same poem - this must be what you personally think and feel about the poem. Try to be positive rather than negative as in my experience this always leads to better marks.

It depends on your topic. The easiest way to do a poetry essay is to compare and contrast. What is the same about the poems? What is different? Which do you prefer and why? What are the main themes? But as I say. It depends on the topic and which poems they are. Also make sure you check your spelling and punctuation. If it is coursework this may count toward the final grade.

properly, without telling what you will desire to write, your thesis would desire to incorporate an person-friendly assertion of your universal place on the poem. choose no be counted in case you decide directly to place in writing with regard to the poet's reason (to the quantity it is easy to purport to appreciate such issues), a historic perception to the poem, an diagnosis of the technical factors of the poem, or regardless of the concentration of your essay would be. The thesis should not be a compound sentence, and it is going to be the two huge adequate to cover the best deal of your essay and slender adequate to be interior the essay. Absent some indication of your place in the paper, i don't think of i'd properly be extra specific than that. in case you decide directly to furnish extra of your place, i'm able to help extra, by utilising way of digital mail or right here. solid luck!

Well, you could start by learning how to use "a" and "an" correctly... other than that, try reading what other people have written about the poems in question, decide whether you agree with them or not and then explain why or why not.
