The neo cons are not total mega corporate puppets. They have their mission of supporting the Zionist expansionist goals of the state of Israel and their "ideals" of spreading democracy by means of tanks, bombs and occupation. Dems may be allied too much with business, but they still really have populist goals and roots. They do not believe the treasury in general and social safety nets in particular, should be bankrupted by tax cuts for the rich. They do not believe a global economic is all good. Democrats see the danger in buying imports made by formerly American companies using workers who are paid 30 cents per hour.

Simply put, Operation Mockingbird. It was when the big conglomerates combined forces with the media and USG, to create the media cartel in America. You have a choice of which news to be spoon fed: that which blindly follows the powers that be or that which will always vilify the powers that be. If you want true information, get away from the TV, and turn into the computer to check BBC online, and other sources away from the US formerly-free press. I could go on, and get into ECHELON and other scary topics, but alas, you too have a research library sitting on your desk....friggin use it. You'd see the planted stories in Australia....and a lot more scary things, we all hoped remained in the minds of hollywood producers.

Point well taken. Never it looked at like that and I don't think that Bush or Clinton are worshiped. I know that many people like Bush and many people liked Clinton it is all a personal choice.

Who is worshiping anyone? Although, I think you're completely correct in your assessment. Politicians are the product of whomever 'bought' them. It is nice to occasionally find one who does retain a few of the morals that he/she began with. I think that is the best we can expect. Wow--how are standards have dropped!
