My Bf & I just broke up- we both never really wanted this but figured it was the best, considering how much we were fighting in the relationship. He wants to be friends but i believe it is too soon. I dont want our friendship to turn into one of those friends with benefits kind of thing. Help!

Take a year off from each other but do not forget about the fighting. Fighting means that you both are chemically incompatible. It's too painful to fight when in a relationship. It's such a waste of precious time and life.

You both end up being your worst when you both know you'd be better if you hadn't crossed paths.

After a year, you'll have perspective. Hopefully, both of you will have had other girl/boy friends and you'll be able to compare those experiences with the experience you shared with your ex. Only then, will you both be able to be friends because you'll be able to realize and understand that sometimes, two people are better off not together.

My ex and I broke up about 2 weeks ago and we're still good friends. The only problem is he acts like he still likes me, and it is SOOOO confusing! So I probably would recommend taking a break from friendship for awhile.
