The biggest side effect I can think of is you would only have the chance to conceive a baby every other month, as the ovaries take turns releasing eggs.

You might have some symptoms of menopause until your other ovary realizes it's working on it's on and go into over drive. It will soon pick up and do all the work on it's on without side effects.
It shouldn't prevent you have having children or anything lik that.

None. I had it done years ago. It supposedly cuts your chances of having kids in half...but I had two children. There was no pain after the surgery week.
