Do you think men and women show their power differently?

I had a discussion with a friend of mine about the recent Foley scandal in the House of Representatives. She made the comment that you never hear of powerful women involved in sex scandals. A thought popped in my head...do powerful men exhibit their power by having more sex and do powerful women exhibit their power by denying sex?

I'm not trying to be sexist at all, in fact ther person I was talking to was a female and she agreed. I think it's a possibility and the more I think about it the more I think it's got some teeth. What do you think?

I have actually heard a lot of women use sex as some kind of bargaining chip to get their man to do whatever they want. I agree completely with your statement. It is a fresh perspective on things and makes me look at the whole thing in a new light. Look at Clinton. He used his power as president to exert power over an intern. He also did it in a way that there could be no question about who was in charge. I think men do, in fact use any power they have over a woman in that way. Think about it. If women use their power to deny men sex, then just by being able to have sex with a woman, it shifts the power, doesn't it?

I'm not sure I'm getting my point of view across well, but I think you'll be able to crack the code. (-;

well....Actually...saying that men exhibit power by having more sex puts sort of a violent or sinister shadow on it...
but, I do know women who think withholding sex from their partners, exhibits power. Personally, I think that reason is kind of stupid. On the other hand, I know men who expect sex, and don't get it, for that very reason.

Men do have sex more and they will with anything or anyone. Unlike a woman. She is more picky about having sex with people and then were a man will jump into something a woman will fear things. Men are more bold in that area.

Really now, men have no power do they, after all, behind every successfull man there is a woman who helped him get there. That tells me it is the women who have the power.
